Mitsubishi fuel economy fix: from 4 to 13 and counting

In an update to Japan's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, Mitsubishi confirms that the number of models impacted is much larger than initially thought

Mitsubishi may have found a lifeline in Nissan but its problems still persist, and they look to run deeper than initially thought. On the same day that it announced the new strategic alliance MMC also issued a report to Japan's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT). The report is part of the OEM's response to MLIT's request in April to investigate manipulation of running resistance to present better fuel consumption figures.
